Let’s Get Cooking

Moving into an apartment this year with my two roommates, I had to make an adjustment from choosing what to eat at the dining hall to deciding what to cook for myself.  Now I love to cook, but it’s a whole new ball game when I’m coming back from a long day of class and all I really want to do is collapse on my bed.  Keep in mind the whole grocery shopping thing (involving money I don’t have), in addition to trying to stay relatively healthy.  It gets complicated, and that’s where I come in.  I’m bringing you everything you’ll need to conquer your college kitchen: the recipes, techniques to keeping a low budget, and some funny stories about me and my roommates, as we discover how to make the best of our tiny little kitchen and tiny little wallets.

I’m going to try to do my best to provide you with meals that are somewhat sophisticated and healthy.  But you know as well as I do that we all have those low moments, whether it be coming back from a party, or coming back from an all-nighter in the library. At times you have to turn to the typical college dude cooking: be it EasyMac or Chuck and Cheese Dip (featured below).  But I’m going to do everything in my power to help you stray from that behavior, and guide you toward realizing that having your own kitchen at college is of the utmost advantage.

Enjoy!
